What to Make of Tab Trade - Launched March 2026, Here Is the Deal
TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade.com launched in March 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
That last detail is relevant. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. That is not a guarantee. It is preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Two major platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would round things out when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.
Combine that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering makes sense. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the part that matters. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it is your call.
